In 2004, DHL's Global Customer Solutions (GCS) division called upon Communication Resources for assistance in creating a fresh set of internal communication tools for this new business unit, created to manage DHL’s top 100 customers. Working closely with the client, we came up with the concept and tools to add the most value to employee communications, in tandem with the intranet: a twice-monthly e-newsletter; a quarterly COO report; and an urgent email alert.

All three electronic publications were launched successfully and Communication Resources continues to provide the copywriting and production coordination for these and other internal and external communication projects, on a monthly retainer basis.

In the summer of 2004, Interbrew - soon to become InBev - asked Communication Resources to draft the content and manage to completion the release of their new employee intranet, along with their public website (see Sales & Marketing Comms). This was a crucial element in the effort to provide employees timely information regarding the new name and corporate identity of their company, following a major acquisition that would make it the world's No. 1 brewer. All relevant information had to remain absolutely confidential until the official announcement. Working closely with the senior vice president of the business unit and a cross-divisional team, as well as the external design agency, Communication Resources developed and oversaw the implementation of the new content for the InBev intranet, acting as writer, editor, and overall business project leader. The project was completed, and the Intranet site went live, on time, to the complete satisfaction of the client.
